Projekt 1 “THE CUBE”

‘THE CUBE’
We often tend to ‘see’ colour and external shape when
looking at the objects and world around us. In this project
you are asked to avoid using colour or shape and focus
your attention and explore the very many other elements
of three dimensional design….
You are asked to construct a series of 200mm cubes

1.Construct an accurate, visually solid cube with six faces

2.Construct a cube defined only by its linear elements

3.Construct a cube that is a combination of 1. and 2.

4.Construct a cube and experiment with other ways to
physically and visually express corner’s, edges and surfaces

5.Construct a cube with the absolute minimum of
elements consider using ‘implied’ form

6.Construct a cube defined only by ‘interior elements.
